PDF Redactor.

Black out secrets. Permanently obscure text and images in your PDF files using local-first processing.

All redaction happens locally in your browser. The PDF is rasterized page-by-page and rebuilt with black boxes burned into the pixels and metadata stripped.

Upload a PDF, draw black rectangles over sensitive areas on each page, then download a new, fully rasterized copy.

Why Rasterize?

Simply placing a black rectangle over text in a PDF does not remove the underlying data — the text layer remains selectable and searchable. Our tool rasterizes each page into pixels and redraws the redaction boxes directly onto the bitmap, then rebuilds the PDF. This permanently destroys the original text data under the redacted areas.
